A lack of sleep can make a person eat more junk food, according to a new Swedish study.
The study, published last month in Psychoneuroendocrinology, looked at the behavior of young men and found that if they didn’t sleep enough they binged.
For a teen up late studying, the temptation to indulge in a bucket of wings at midnight is hard resist, especially if you’re tired. Next time you’re burning the midnight oil, try these tasty, low-fat snacks instead:
- baby carrots
- hummus and whole wheat crackers (but not the whole box!)
- Greek yogurt with fresh fruit
